What is the best position to install the Reolink Elite Floodlight WiFi for optimal coverage?
Due to its ultra-wide field of view, this camera is best suited for large, open areas. Installing it in a tight or enclosed space may result in walls or ceilings reflecting infrared light at night, which can affect image clarity.
What are the advantages of a dual-lens camera?
This camera features two lenses that deliver 180° ultra-wide views in 16MP UHD. Instead of using multiple single-lens cameras to monitor a wide area, one dual-lens camera saves installation time and offers seamless panoramic coverage with minimal distortion. Both live view and playback are merged into a single image.
What detection types does the Reolink Elite Floodlight WiFi support?
It supports person, vehicle, and animal detection, along with advanced alerts such as Line Crossing, Zone Intrusion, and Zone Loitering.
How is this camera powered?
The camera uses AC power.
Can I turn off the floodlights and siren?
Yes, you can turn them off manually. By default, both are motion-activated and will turn on when motion is detected. You can adjust the brightness of the floodlights or customize the siren via the Reolink app. Note: With the floodlights on, the camera provides colour night vision. If turned off, the image will switch to black and white.
What’s the difference between spotlights and floodlights?
Spotlights offer focused, bright lighting ideal for smaller areas, while floodlights cover larger spaces with broad, even illumination.
Do I need to charge the floodlights?
No. The camera requires a constant power supply. The floodlights operate through the same power source and do not need to be charged separately.
Can this camera be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes. It’s IP66 weatherproof and designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It operates in temperatures from -10°C to 55°C.
Does this camera support time-lapse?
Yes. You can create time-lapse videos and photos saved to the SD card.
Is this camera compatible with smart home systems like Google Assistant?
Yes, currently, this camera can work with Google Assistant.
What type of microSD card is supported?
This camera supports up to 512GB microSD cards with FAT32 format and Class 10 read & write speed.
Does the camera support two-way audio?
Yes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling you to hear and speak through the camera using the Reolink App or Client.
What is Wi-Fi 6 and what are its benefits?
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is the latest wireless standard. It offers faster speeds, lower latency, and better network stability. It also uses WPA3 for enhanced network security.
Can this camera connect to a non-Wi-Fi 6 router?
Yes, it’s backward compatible with older Wi-Fi standards. However, a Wi-Fi 6 router is recommended for optimal performance.
Is this camera compatible with Reolink NVRs or Home Hub Series?
Yes, it works with all current Reolink PoE and Wi-Fi NVRs for 24/7 continuous recording. It’s also compatible with the Reolink Home Hub and Home Hub Pro.
Can I adjust the floodlights on the Elite Floodlight WiFi camera?
Yes, the brightness of the floodlights can be adjusted through the app.
