How long is the pre-recording time?
The default pre-recording time is 10s, adjustable between 2s and 10s. It is recommended to use it with a solar panel for a better pre-recording experience.
How to set up Pre-recording Mode?
Tap the "Settings" button on the app, then select "Camera Recording" and enable the "Pre-Recording Mode" option. Tap "Frame Rate" and "Schedule" to adjust the settings as needed.
What is the ColorX night vision?
The F1.0 large aperture and 1/1.8'' sensor bring 4 times more light than traditional cameras, providing color night vision that is as clear as daylight in low-light environments without the need for additional spotlights.
Does the camera support person/vehicle/animal detection?
Yes, it supports person/vehicle/animal detection.
Does the camera work on 5G/4G/3G/2G?
The camera works on 4G networks. It also supports 3G, which is not recommended though (since wireless companies are working to retire older network technologies). It does not support 5G or 2G SIM cards.
Note:
(1) It does not matter whether you use a 4G or 5G mobile phone to access the camera. The camera needs a SIM card of its own, which is irrelevant to your mobile's SIM card.
(2) The camera does not support Wi-Fi network.
How does 4G work on this security camera?
Similar to your mobile phone, cellular security cameras require a SIM card with a data plan to transmit video data over 3G/4G networks.
Does the camera support smart home like Google Assistant?
Yes, currently, this camera can work with Google Assistant.
What kind of microSD card can I use?
This camera supports up to 512GB microSD cards with FAT32 format and Class 10 read & write speed.
Does the camera support cloud storage?
Yes, this camera supports cloud service in certain countries. You can visit https://cloud.reolink.com/cloud-plan to check the available countries.
Note: You can also store footage on a microSD card (up to 512GB).
