FAQs for Reolink Go Ultra
How long does the battery last?
The camera comes with a rechargeable battery. Normally, the battery lasts for about 2 months per charge (actual use varies based on settings, use conditions and environmental factors.) When the battery level goes down to 10%, the camera will send you a low-battery notification.
Does the camera work with my Reolink PoE NVR?
If you want to buy a new one: the currently on-sale NVRs work with all PoE and plug-in WiFi cameras.
For the NVR with hardware N7MB01, N6MB01, or N5MB01, it works with all PoE and plug-in WiFi cameras.
For the NVR with hardware N2MB02, N3MB01, or H3MB18, it works with all PoE and plug-in WiFi cameras, but you cannot have full-resolution live view for some models.
For the rest of hardware versions such as H3MB17, H3MB02, and H3MB16, please refer to Introduction to Hardware Versions of Reolink NVRs.
Does the camera have a SIM card?
No, the camera does not come with a SIM card and Reolink does not sell SIM cards. You need to obtain one from a compatible cellular service provider. Every 4G camera requires a physical SIM card and does not support e-SIM.
Note that the Reolink 4G camera only provides network connectivity for itself and cannot function as a hotspot for other devices.
How does 4G work on this security camera?
Similar to a mobile phone, cellular security cameras require a SIM card with a data plan to transmit video signals over a 3G/4G network.
SIM cards from carriers such as T-Mobile and Vodafone usually work with Reolink 4G cameras.
Does the camera work on 5G / 4G / 3G / 2G?
The camera works on 4G networks and also supports 3G (though 3G is not recommended as many providers are retiring older networks). It does not support 5G or 2G SIM cards.
Note:
(1) The camera does not support WiFi connection.
(2) Some mobile carriers have retired their older 3G networks.
Can this camera be used outdoors or indoors?
Yes, the camera can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is IP65 weatherproof and operates within temperatures from −10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F).
Can this camera support time-lapse function?
Yes, the camera supports time-lapse and can save time-lapse photos and videos directly to the SD card.
How to set up Time Lapse
Does the camera support cloud storage?
Yes. You can check availability in your country by visiting Reolink Cloud.
Note: You can also save video clips to a microSD card (supports up to 128GB).
Does the camera support NVR or NAS storage?
No. However, you can record videos to a microSD card and play them back via the Reolink App or Client without subscription fees.
Can I talk to someone via the Reolink App? (Two-way audio)
Yes. This security camera features two-way audio, allowing you to listen and talk to someone in real time through the Reolink App.
Can this camera support smart home platforms like Google Assistant?
Yes, this camera works with Google Assistant.

How can I charge this camera? Is the solar panel required?
You have three charging options:
- Option 1. Connect the camera to a solar panel for continuous power (recommended).
- Option 2. Remove the battery and charge it via a 5V 2A USB charger.
- Option 3. Charge the camera directly with the battery installed using a 5V 2A USB charger.
Note: The solar panel can be purchased separately.
Does my camera support person / vehicle detection?
Yes, the camera supports person and vehicle detection. Pet detection is also available.
Does the camera have an SD card?
No, the camera does not come with a microSD card. However, it includes a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 128GB (FAT32, Class 10 or higher).
How much data does the camera use?
Data usage depends on the bitrate setting. One hour of live feed in Clear mode (default bitrate: 4Mbps) uses about 2GB of data. In Fluent mode (default bitrate: 672kbps), 1GB of data allows approximately 3.5 hours of live viewing.
Note: Actual data usage may vary depending on settings and network conditions.
