Is eufyCam S3 Pro compatible with Apple HomeKit?
Yes, the product supports Apple HomeKit. To use the product with Apple HomeKit, you can add the device in the eufy Security app and then complete the activation process.
HomeKit Secure Video requires a supported iCloud+ plan and a HomePod, HomePod mini, or AppleTV set up as a home hub. It is recommended that you update to the latest software and operating system.
Does it work with Homebase 2?
No, the eufyCam S3 Pro only works with Homebase S380 (Homebase 3).
How efficient is the built-in solar panel charging? Why do I need an external solar panel if the camera already have a built-in solar panel?
With full exposure to direct sunlight, the built-in solar panel can collect and store 450 to 900mAh per day. eufycam S3 Pro uses 100 to 200mAh over a day and night of average use, with 1 hour optimal sunlight, the camera can keep working for an entire day. However, this depends on the strength of the sunlight. Install your camera in a position that exposes it to as much sun as possible.
The eufyCam S3 Pro can be charged using an external solar panel when you need to install the camera in areas with insufficient sunlight (e.g., under the eaves).
The external panel works in conjunction with the built-in solar panel so you can get versatile mounting options and more reliable backup power for continuous security.
Can MaxColor Vision work in total darkness?
Yes. MaxColor technology captures additional light for enhanced colour clarity in ultra-low light conditions.
But depends on how much clarity you need, the eufyCam S3 Pro also offers various night vision modes for different scenarios. In complete darkness (like indoor spaces, enclosed backyards, or low-light suburban areas), using a spotlight or infrared light is advisable for enhanced night vision clarity.
Does the system support 5G Wi-Fi and 24/7 recording?
The camera only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi.
To record 24/7, connect your eufyCam S3 Pro to an power adapter and switch it to wired mode in the eufy App.
Is HomeBase 3 compatible with other eufy Security products?
HomeBase 3 works with eufyCam models, eufy Video Doorbells, eufy Sensors, Indoor Cam, Outdoor Cam and Floodlight Cam E340 and SoloCam.
What is 24/7 snapshot？
