FAQs Reolink Smart Security Floodlight
What's the difference between spotlights and floodlights?
Spotlights can provide condensed lighting for smaller areas, while floodlights can illuminate larger areas with widely and evenly distributed lights. Floodlights can dramatically deter intruders and improve the night vision quality.
Which cameras can be linked to Reolink Floodlight? How can they be linked?Reolink Floodlight can be linked to some Reolink cameras such as Reolink Duo 2 PoE/WiFi and Reolink TrackMix PoE/WiFi. The specific functions supported depend on the camera. Please check other compatible cameras.
When Reolink Floodlight is linked to a camera, its floodlights and the built-in siren will be triggered once the camera detects an event. Click here to see how to link Reolink Floodlight to a camera.
No. Linkage can happen as long as the camera supports to be linked and both the camera and Reolink Floodlight are connected to the network.
What is the lighting mode if Reolink Floodlight has never been set up before? It will run in its default lighting mode if it has never been set up before. The floodlights stay off during the day, and only turn on when the PIR alarm is activated at night and then turn off when the alarm ends.
The siren is triggered only when Reolink Floodlight is linked to a camera. When the linked camera detects an event, the floodlight will sound a siren. You can also customise the siren sound to your preference.
Yes, it can work alone without a security camera. Via Reolink App, you can turn the light on/off, adjust the brightness, set lighting modes, receive push notifications, and more.
